Genuine…..I first met Jim two years ago on the golf course with Alan and Jaime. That day I met a man who absolutely loves life. Jim talked a lot that day. Through his anecdotal stories, I very quickly learned a lot about him. Jim is obviously successful, but none of what he shared was about business or work. Jim is extremely bright, but if anything his own stories would belittle himself. The man I met that day shared what really mattered to him: his girls, his friends, and his new found curiosity and thirst for Christ.
Last year, Erin and I had the opportunity to get to know Jim and Chris through our small group at church. We have seen Jim address his walk with Christ in the same manner as he addresses life; with insight, humor and humility. It is amazing how addictive the humor could be. Just mention the name Andy Stanley to any in that group and I guarantee they will smile.
The man I met that day on the golf course, I am so proud to call my friend and brother today.
