I really looked forward to meeting either there or Gloria Jeans. The connection I felt to Jim was real, we seemed to always be on the same page together in our conversations. As I look at all the past email reminders from Jim for those Fridays, I cry.
His optimism for life and his family was infectious. As I sat with him earlier this week, we joked and traded blows just as we had always done. He always made me laugh and I will always cherish those times. I remember a year ago in our home during one of our bible studies, we prayed over Jim as he was going through melanoma. Since that time we met regularly and made it a thing to do on Fridays.
