Dartmouth hospital visit with Jim and friends

I went to see Jim at the hospital where he had just gotten out of surgery for a liver biopsy. He was a little groggy and still in pain, but as he came out of it he slowly began to talk and had a smile on his face as he always does. He was in good spirits and had a healthy glow. As we talked, but mostly listened he told us about what was going on with him and being the funny person that he is, said he couldn't burp. As we continued to talk we all tried to hold back our tears. Near the end of us seeing Jim. I asked him if I could give him a hug because I wasn't sure if he was still in pain. He said yes of course and I gave him a big hug and I said that I loved him and that he was a sweet guy. He then said to me if the gate is heavy I will hold it open for you. I tried not to cry, but I thought, this is a person of Christ.
